Grade 4 (food chains, biological systems)
What they'll learn:
What is a food chain and what are its different components? Which components are harmful to the Earth, which are helpful? How do we fit into the food chain? Who grows the food in the grocery store and by what means? What does ‘organic’ mean, and how does it affect food chains? All of these questions will be touched on in a tour of a local demonstration garden or farm.
